I ordered this to ceramic coat my wife's new mustang mach-e that is black. Car had 30 miles on it, so the paint was in pretty good shape. Wash, Iron decontamination, prep then ceramic coat. After watching several videos I felt pretty confident in this, however it is tricky to apply perfectly. I would say I got 95% of the car to look amazing, and the other 5% now looks good after polishing out my mistakes. It is a little difficult to remove fully, but that being said, the car looks great and I love how the water sheets off of it. I hope it holds up because it was a lot of work to install.

Easy to use. Would give it 5 stars if I had any long-term use results.
Cons
- I applied to a light green vehicle and when the coating "flashed" I wish it was easier to see. Even in bright lighting the flash was irregular in nature. I worried that I was wiping off too early or maybe too late.

First and foremost, inspect your paint. Wash your vehicle surgically clean. I use laundry detergent to start from scratch. Next, clay bar it and wash that residue off. If you move directly to using the paint luster prep next, just make sure you look closely for water spots and imperfections, even if the car is fairly new. Mine was (less than 2500 miles), but it still had to be corrected. I used Menzerna 3000 grit polishing and a Cyclo buffer. If you don't do this, those water spots and imperfections WILL NOT be covered up or mitigated by the ceramic coating, and for the cost of this product, you don't want to skip this step and then discover you should have done it. After I did the correction, I used the Wolfgang Paint luster prep they give you in the kit. Finally, apply the ceramic coating. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. Apply in 2 x 2 sections and wit until it flashes. It is slightly tricky to see the rainbow, but I applied it on an overcast day at around 70 and it took about a minute to see the evaporation start and the rainbow to slightly appear. I don't know if I should have waited longer, but didn't want to chance it setting too long. I had a few spots where I noticed that I might have missed buffing it out thoroughly and they are tough to remove once they appear. I attribute that to it sitting too long and curing before trying to re-buff it. In the end, I had good results over a blacked out Blazer. Just DO THE PREP WORK and don't try and do too large of sections before WIPING IT OFF THOROUGHLY. These things are really important IMO, especially over black or dark colors. Extremely glossy shine. Perhaps not as deep as Piinnacle pure caranuba wax, which I use on a convertible classic jag that spends the majority of time under cover in the garage, but I expect this stuff to last a lot longer. Going to get the Blackfire Ceramic booster to maintain.
Pros
- Extremely glossy shine. Easy to work with if you follow the directions.
Cons
- Thoroughly buff each 2 x 2 section and don't miss any spots. Hard to correct flashes that might appear from missed spots. DON'T IGNORE THETHE PREP WORK beforehand and you'll be fine.

I used this Coating for the first time last week on a silver 2019 BMW 528xi. At first, I had to get used to the application, but once I was comfortable, it glided on with ease!! The gloss is phenomenal, I will check out the hydrophobicity when I wash it!!
