I bought My 3401 from Autogeek in 2009, buffed LOTS of cars with it. Just last week, the original backing plate lifted, making the Velcro backing useless. That’s pretty darn good for it to last that long. I received my new one quickly. They had it in stock. Goes right on. Genuine FLEX piece. THANK YOU!! Autogeek is the best. It’s a good idea to pick up a spare if Your 3401 has mileage.

This will fit right onto your Menzerna 3401. The original backing plate Velcro on my buffer was weak. For $40, I fixed the problem.

Good stuff

This flex backing plate rocks. I had one that came with the flex3401 but it got really worn out since i use it about 3 to 4 x a day. I noticed my pads were flinging off my flex so i had no choice but to buy another backing plate. Buy it if you detail many cars. You'll need to change it just about every 3months but it pays for its self in the long run. If your buying a flex 3401 as a personal use, you don't need another backing plate. I don't see anyone buffing out their own car enough to need another backing plate.
